In addition to our core business of Executive Search and Placement Anvil Search Group provides a robust Executive Coaching and Development program. This program is lead by Bill Baldwin whose profile is below.
Bill Baldwin is an executive coach and management consultant with more than 20 years experience in leading teams and businesses. His programs are proven to increase leadership effectiveness, engage employees, energize cultures and enhance employee performance, creativity and productivity. His industry experiences span specialized telecommunications, startup and emerging specialty pharmaceuticals and high tech companies and more mature businesses and educational enterprises.
He forged his initial management skills and leadership abilities while preparing his team and leading their operations in combat as a Navy officer in Vietnam . From there he has held increasingly more responsible positions at Cincinnati Bell, AT&T, and Teleport Communications Group, where he was Vice President of Human Resources and led employee growth from 225 to nearly 5,000 in 7 years. He has since been a key contributor and advisor for the launch of ESP Pharma, the growth of BroadView Networks, the reinvigoration of Henry P. Thomson, a leading tea importer and distributor, and Medworks Management Inc., a software distributor. He also is engaged in the nonprofit sector as a leadership consultant and coach to the Superintendent of the New Hope/Solebury School District and her key team members and as a business advisor to the VA's Veteran's Homeless Services Industries, which provide therapeutic help to veterans recovering from combat stress and substance abuse.
Bill's coaching practice focuses on leveraging leading-edge assessment and coaching processes for leadership development. He emphasizes employee engagement through clear expectations, implementation of leadership best practices he has accumulated and practiced, and targeted teambuilding for increased organizational productivity and performance. He has successfully helped executives change their perspective and focus, to become engaging and energizing leaders of vision, and executing their roles in a way which make others successful, including their reports, peers, employees and customers.
Bill has been richly rewarded for his excellent services to his clients. His HR department at Teleport was rated # 1 in client satisfaction in company-wide surveys, he has been invited to contribute his leading edge practices to publications for such organizations as the Conference Board, and his clients continually invite him back for additional engagements. He loves his work and truly enjoys serving his clients.
He received his BA from University of the South, where he was president of a number of student government and social organizations, and his MS in Management from Pace University 's Lubin School . Bill was certified as an Executive Coach in 2001 and as a Cultural Change Agent in 1998. |
